My approach to sculpture is about endurance, resiliency and healing. The techniques are labor-intensive and process driven. I deliberately push my body to its physical limits because of blood memory. It is my body reenacting ceremonies that are grounded in repetition, dance and movement. It is through the repetition of forms and text I find healing.
